Preface; Time for chapter 2 of the series. A deeper journey into the collection, not for everyone's taste I’m sure, but stay with it if you can. The strong opening statement track leading into that deep dub gives way to a darker side on the second half of the mix but with moments of instrumental and vocal beauty, bringing it back into the light towards the end. Not a mix to get you motivated for a big night out, one to take into a softly lit room and comfortable armchair that hugs you as you take this journey.

My moments; That wooden guiro sound at 12m, lining you up for a journey into some brass melodies. That space effect at 18m sounding like a tape playing backwards and seamlessly dropping into a heavy reverbed drum percussion, feel that sound bounce! Those piano and drums at 22m and the elements dropping away as the track ends. that crescendo at 37m and the following peaceful serenity at 40m. Those hi hats at 53m, makes me feel like I’m standing in a mid-summer festival field.. .then the build at 56m into that amazing vocal.. & welcome to stereo btw! 1h2m was a difficult choice, divided on my own opinion to include this track, but ultimately it made the cut and I hope it’s a fitting closure to the chapter. What journey!
